How to Install an eSIM on Samsung and Android

Before you start

Menu names differ slightly between Samsung One UI, Pixel and other Android skins, but the sequence is the same. Install over Wi-Fi before departure.

Installing on a Samsung Galaxy

• 1 — Settings › Connections › SIM manager.
• 2 — Tap Add eSIM, then Scan QR code from service provider.
• 3 — Scan the provider's QR code and confirm.
• 4 — Name the line, then leave it switched off until you arrive.

Installing on a Google Pixel

• 1 — Settings › Network & internet › SIMs.
• 2 — Tap the + icon or Download a SIM instead.
• 3 — Scan the QR code and follow the prompts.

After landing

Turn the travel eSIM on, enable Roaming for that line, and set it as the Mobile data SIM. Keep your UAE line enabled for calls and SMS with its roaming data disabled.
