Will an eSIM work with my UAE number?
Yes. A travel eSIM adds a second data line, so your etisalat by e& or du number stays active for calls and OTP messages while data runs over the travel plan.
Should I buy before leaving the UAE?
Yes. Install the eSIM on Wi-Fi at home. Most plans only start counting down when the eSIM first connects to a network at your destination.
Why are prices shown in AED?
Providers price in US dollars. We convert at a fixed reference rate so plans can be compared like for like, and show the USD price alongside.
Do travel eSIMs include calls and SMS?
Most are data only. You can still call over WhatsApp, FaceTime or Teams, and receive UAE OTPs on your primary line.
What happens if I run out of data?
You can buy a top-up in the provider's app, or install a second plan. Nothing is lost, but avoid switching your UAE line to roaming as a fallback.
Are esims.ae recommendations paid for?
